wish you were here....

Amazing song by floyd , but this time around neither am I listening to it nor is it about the song . Just wish you were here not so Mr.President and not so Mr.Prime minister of Pakistan . After being loaded with news and debates on Mumbai attack on tv , donot want to bring on the topic here too . Neither do I want to express hate or anger. Pain is irresistible , when our media talks soft , our capable leaders perform while others bark , while grief is used to increase trp , its just irresistable. And to the namesake PM and prez of Pak , before giving your next annoying statemnt ' how I wish u were here ' both of you.

This is second year that we friends met to go on a biking trip to Himalayas. India is beautiful , Himalayas - No words . Half way on to the trip and we heard the attack on India at Mumbai . There was all the reason right infront of us why someone canot but envy our country. More than fear of us developing , or insecure religious sentiment of few fanatics , its our country itself reason for our enimies to envy us. India is so beautiful and warm that someone born in India would want to be born here again. I am not talking about our political system , roads or traffic , please not the regular bakwaas.

The snowclad mouuntains of Himachal were truly magnificent. More so the people living there . Who would invite someone passing by for a tea and chat , also call and find out if you have reached safely . The road to Chitkul via Sangla was amazing. Sutlej flowing parallely , truly Himachal is Dev Bhumi ( other name of Himachal).

We are generally mild people here in our country. My generation ,we are born lucky . We din have to fight for independence , we din see any war , we din see small pox , we dont know what emergency was called for , for that matter when our country went bankrupt in 91 (though our leaders managed it for us) we din know what economy was at that age . All of us post 80s born are insulated from bad times our country went through. We are the age Maruti rolled out , we are from the age when Coca cola was available in the market . We saw tata rolling out passenger cars , and service sector grow. We are the age with McDonalds and Coffeeday inscribed on our foodchart.

Its time we stop singing songs , light candle to mourn for the irreversible loss.
We cannot tie a tawiz to our nation , nor can the 'buri nazar wale tera muh kala ' board work . If there is something that can move us fowrward that would be to be ourselves truly and not be what others want us to be.

Having mentioned all this I feel like erasing Islamabad from the map.
